You see, the thing is, I have my cameras (both Olympus E-5s in case you're curious) and I can tell you anything you want to know about how they work, I've had them for several years and it'll probably be several more years before I'm looking to replace them so I haven't looked at other cameras in a long time. My own camera is no longer in production and I vaguely know that Nikon cameras are D-xxx and Canons are called EOS but other than that I couldn't tell you what the latest models are called, let alone what they are like to use.

I don't pay much attention to reviews of cameras when I'm flicking through magazines and barely even remember what kind of technological advancements are going on these days. I'm absolutely not a gearhead, I really have no need to know about the pros and cons of equipment I don't own and am not shopping for and therefore don't take the time to know. There will of course come a time when I do need to know but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

While I don't know much about cameras simply because I have no need to shop for cameras, I do know a lot more about the different makes and models of equipment which I do shop for. I know plenty about studio lighting, flash triggers, tripods and IT equipment, so by all means ask me about that stuff and I will tell you what the different options are out there and the pros and cons of each, just don't ask me about cameras.
